James Hopkins and Mary (Ellen?) Murray immigrated from Northern Ireland in 1866 according to census information. The family is Catholic. They lived on Terrace St. in 1900, which became W.23rd Place. Family lore claims they were of Welsh descent but I have not been able to trace them to a specific location in across the Atlantic. I am wondering if any other families in the area, of the Catholic faith, have been able to trace their roots to Northern Ireland. Maybe they traveled in groups. Alice Gillihan
