    1. Re: [OHCUYAHO] Bowling Green State University
    2. Bowling Green State University does indeed have a nice genealogy department. However, they are rather restrictive when visiting the library, i.e., you must place all your possessions in a locker and can only take a pad and pencil in with you. You have to do the research yourself as the staff is limited in assistance. I would like to suggest that if you are doing research that would involve the Toledo, Ohio area, you might want to contact the Local History and Genealogy Department at the Lucas County Main Library in downtown Toledo. A great percentage, if not all the records, that you will find at BGSU can be found at the Main Library in Toledo. And the staff at the Main Library is exceptionally helpful. The library is located at 325 Michigan St. in downtown Toledo across from the courthouse. The phone number of the genealogy department at the library if you wish to call ahead and see if they can be of assistance is: (419) 259-5233. They are open Mon - Thur 9 to 9, Fri & Sat 9 to 5:30, and Sun 1 to 5:30. I do most of my research at the Main Library and have been very successful. Hope this helps! Kathy (in Toledo)
