I just received a copy of an ancestor's marriage record (January, 1854) from the Cuyahoga County Archives Office. The officiating name appears to be "E. Hessenmueller", followed by "J.P." (I assume Justice of the Peace). Does anyone know if Justices of the Peace were required to keep any other details or records of marriages, and if so, where they might be? Thanks, Bill vonR
