Dear List Members, In looking through the Necrology File online, I found of couple of my ancestors who died in Cleveland and would like to find the actual obituaries published in the Cleveland newspapers from 1920-1940. Where in Cleveland can I write to request copies of the obituaries of my ancestors found in the online Necrology File? Does the Cleveland Library have these newspapers? If so, what do they charge for look-up and copy of obituaries? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Robert

Robert, I was wondering if your grandparents were David Johnston & Nancy Cole. If so, I have alot of info on her line. Paul Robert C. Sorry, but those names don't sound familiar. My grandfather was Clarence Thomas Johnston who lived in the Cleveland/Medina area between the 1910's and 1950's before moving here to Alabama. My great-grandfather, Dr. Thomas Daniel Johnston, was a Chiropractor in Cleveland from the early 1900's till his death in '31. He moved to Cleveland from Bay County, MI sometime after the 1900 census. William G. Johnston was the other son of Dr. Thomas Daniel Johnston. He was also a chiropractor with his father and was last known to be living in Medina during the early '50s. If you run across even of these men, please let me know. Thanks!
