Does anyone know who the father is of Clark S. Gates (born approx. 1813, died 1885 in Brooklyn, Cuyahoga County)? Clark married Sarah Ann Hinckley in 1835 and had at least 6 children. He later married Christina or Christiana ACKER (who previously had married David Johnson, Simeon Enos, and Milton Clark). I found him in the 1870 census residing in the immediate vicinity of Jeremiah Gates, Charles Gates, and Lafayette Gates. (Jeremiah being the father of Charles and the grandfather of Lafayette). Is Clark Jeremiah's son or a nephew (and son of Nathaniel Gates, Jeremiah's brother?) Any help would be appreciated. Sandy
