My Mary Callaghan (b. 1864-5/d. 1901, married name Keyes) was Roman Catholic. Because I attended Villa Angela Academy on Lake Erie on Lake Shore Blvd., I know that school existed from 1865. I checked at Ursuline College, and apparently nobody can find any records back that far....... When I come to Cleveland in June, I'm going to drive around that old neighborhood. Have no idea what to expect nowadays.......... Just thought that in 1880 a RCatholic grade school would have existed around there. I think they did go to St. Joseph Church (or am I thinking of being buried in St. Joseph Cemetery??). Think I'll check with Diocese of Cleveland..... Her father, Jeremiah Callaghan, re-married in 1876 and was married in St. Bridget Church........so...........maybe that's the one.... Thanks for your concern. Lynne in Florida the post office mentioned was 429 Woodland Ave. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
