I received this from NARA - we can comment on the "proposed increase" - so let's voice our objections The proposed fee increase to $125.00 is for the "Full" Civil War Pension files only (those files can be anywhere from 12 or 20 pages to as many as 800-1,000, hence the fee increase). The Pension Documents package (selected major documants) would be from $14.75 to $25.00. The proposed increase for the service record is from $17.00 to $25.00. NARA's fee schedule for reproductions is currently open for public comment by notice in the Federal Register on February 26, 2007.
