This sounds like a truly worthwhile project for Peggy <smile>. But it also catches my interest, and probably that of others, too. I'm not local, and haven't lots of available resources, but I did have a couple of clarifying questions. The answers might help Peggy and others, too. Just recapping, so I'm sure I'm understanding........ In Rappahannock Co VA, there is a Henry Lee Phillips Sr who married a lady probably named Mable. They had 10 children, and one of those children was a son named Harry Lee Phillips[Jr], born 1880s/1890s. This Harry Lee [Jr] moved away in the 1920s, probably to somewhere in the vicinity of Cleveland. At the very least, his address in your dad's address book in the 1940s was a Cleveland address. And this Harry Jr had at least one son you know of, named Bernard. Have I got the basics straight, or have I befuddled things? Have I skipped a generation or confused the 'Henry Lee Phillips' men? It's been that kind of a day, and I certainly could have......... Also, the odds are slim to none that any of the family is still at that Cleveland address. If they were, I suspect you would have found them long ago. Can you provide that address from your dad's old address book? It can at least help narrow down the part of Cleveland they were in at that time. And it may help find them in the 1930 census. Also, city directories. This can help a lot, especially with a fairly common name like 'Harry Phillips'. Here's truly hoping you can find some of the descendants of this Harry, and that they can join you all at the reunions. Linda S.
