    3. No problem. I just wanted to know where I should begin. You can rent microfilmed records from the LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City. LDS = Latter-Day Saints. Their website is: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp Here is a link to their FHL FAQ: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHC/frameset_fhc.asp?PAGE=faq_fhc.asp After reading the FAQ, feel free to ask about anything you don't understand. FYI, NARA is the National Archives. If you happen to live nearby, you can also look at census (and other) records there.
