    3. One of my relatives was sent to the Orient State School in Pickaway County, Ohio about 1917. This county is just south of Franklin County (Columbus, Ohio). The school was closed in recent years. I would start by searching for a website about the school and see if you can find where the records were sent. Or log on to the list and see what anyone can tell you. He would be listed in a census but you would have to look for the Orient School. I've tracked down 3 ancestors this way. Ohio might have a Department of Mental Health that would list schools. I know Michigan does and I've used them. If I can help you in any way, please feel free to ask. I'm in Sandusky County, not Cuyahoga County. Go to Ohio Historical Society website to search their death certificate website.
