I just started having a problem in the last day or so. Just wondering if it is me! Have not had a problem getting onto the site but several times this week, when leaving a census image to go back to search results I have gotten that "check back later" message. It says they are doing maintenance on the site but it that was the case, why was I able to get to the census image to begin with??? ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
In thinking about this Ancestry.com circumstance, I recalled seeing an announcement earlier in the week that Ancestry was opening its new Chinese database. I'd be willing to bet that they don't have enough servers to handle the increased traffic. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: March 29, 2007 12:34 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [OHCUYAHO] Ancestry.com site problem? To List members. I do not have access to ancestry .com and need a little help. Is there an index for the 1930 census online anywhere? I am looking for a John Doyle in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was born in PA and was a locomotive engineer at one point. He would be about 70+ yrs. old or so. He is probably a widower. When he died in 1943 he was living on CHarles but in the 1920 census he was on Mitchell. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
