Hello Does anyone out there remember the Immaculate Heart of Mary parish fire of 1908? The pastor, Fr. Anton Kolaszewski, was rescued by the sexton of the church whose name was John Gosrurnski. I believe the name was mispelled and that he is actually my great grandfather, John Gosiorowski. However, there were 2 John Gosiorowskis living in the area at that time. I am trying to prove that this sexton was my great grandfather. Here are the reasons... The other John Gosiorowski was about 33 years old and most times listed as a painter by trade. My John Gosiorowski was 19 years old and had been listed as having odd jobs and also was married in 1907 by Fr. Kolaszewski in addition to his parents and inlaws being extremely instrumental in the forming of the Immaculate Heart parish. (wouldn't he have made a likely sexton?) What I'd like to know is there anyone who would have records of this fire (besides newspaper articles, I've checked them) or records of exactly who this sexton was at that time? Would this be in Immaculate Heart church records? Thanks to anyone who can lead me in the right direction! Trina
