That Mary (from NY) does not fit with my family. My Mary, if one existed, would have been born between 1841 to 1847 or so. Dennis, I've looked into that Hiram before and it is not a match. I actually know a lot about him past the Civil War. I'm just stuck on his parents. Since I know he was born in the Cleveland area and lived there until about 1870 it would make some sense for his parents to have died there, but I really know nothing about them at all besides names and possible death years. Indications are they may have been born in New York or Pennsylvania. This is probably a wall I'll never fully crack. I've been at it for a few years now. Thanks for ideas, though. Sabrina Sabrina M.
