    3. Does anyone on the list know where I could ask for a lookup in the Cleveland City Directories 1880-1890 please? I am in England, so ordering films from the LDS, which has them all, would take upwards of three months. I am trying to find the death of my ggg grandfather Leyshon Thomas. He emigrated to NY from Wales in 1867 with his family and settled in Syracuse. They are all in the 1870 Syracuse census running a saloon. By 1880 they are scattered all over the NE US. Leyshon junior, his son, moved to Norristown PA in c1875-8 and ran The West End Hotel and Restaurant there. Leyshon senior revisited the UK and arrived back in Castle Garden on 6th September 1879, describing himself as a hotel keeper. However, he does not appear in the June 1880 census. I had assumed he had died sometime in that short period, until I discovered his marriage to Jennie Simmons in July 1880 (IGI) and the birth of a child to them in 1884, both in Cuyahoga. At this time Jennie is 28, and Leyshon says he is 74 - actually only 70 but he was always very innacurate with his age. Leyshon is not around in the 1900 census, and given his age I would assume his wandering days were over, so I would like to know if he appears in the Cleveland Directories for the period, and if so when he disappears. Any help would be much appreciated. I would be very happy to reciprocate with UK lookups to anyone on the list Thanks Roger -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for home users.
