To answer a few questions, George was abt 40 & was not an Engineer, but a repairman in a Cleveland Yard. He was only on job a few months and I guess before rule on staying out of combat took effect! His brother in Cleveland had an Oil & Brick company! His brother likely got him the job as his brother was using the RR in his businesses alot. Barkwill Street was named after his then Banker brother. Georges son received a RR job for life after the accident.
