Someone has already mentioned the 1940 death of John, but I thought I'd paste what I found at familysearch pilot. This doesn't say anything about cause of death, that I can find. The actual death certificate probably gives the cause of death. I realize that a newspaper article is what you're looking for, but here's the cemetery name, too--the sexton's records may tell you something interesting, like the name of a church or clergyman, which may lead to church records.
