Luke Hansford and Deborah Stone Hansford moved from Portland, Dorset, England to Cleveland sometime between 1866 and 1873 along with their children: 1. Sarah Swaffield Hansford (born 6 Nov 1859, Portland, Dorset, England) - married Daniel Hist in Cleveland some time after 1880, and died 12 July 1926 in Cleveland. 2. Mary Jane Hansford (born 1861, Portland, Dorset, England) 3. Keziah Hansford (born 3 May 1864, Portland, Dorset, England) - married unknown Christian name male Grover sometime after 1880 in Ohio, died 17 March 1917 at Willoughby, Lake Co, Ohio. Luke and Deborah had a daughter Allice Hansford in 1873 in Cleveland. (She is known as Emma Hansford on the 1900 US census.) Luke appears in the 1880 United States Census living with his wife and children in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio. He is 48 and a Brick Mason. The children with them are Alice, Mary, Sarah and Keziah. At a similar time to Luke and Deborah Hansford moving to Ohio, another Hansford family member moved and settled in Fairfield, Butler, Ohio. This was Joseph James Hansford who married Alice C. (surname unknown) - I am not sure if they married before he left Portland, Dorset or in Ohio. He died 21 Nov 1929 in Fairfield. If anyone can help me with information on these families and their descendants I would appreciate it. I don't know the marriage details and grand-children of any of these.
