Write to St. Theodosius here in Cleveland. http://www.sttheodosius.org/contact.html Ask if there is any marriage information listed in the church's early records (after 1908) for the person you are asking about. The last name has been changed and whomever answers your email may be able to give you the original name of the person you are looking for. Other records that can be searched are of course a marriage record, but also baptismal/confirmation listings for any children before 1930. St. Theodosius had a very large parishioner base in the early 1900s and the search may be hard for the church to do. Remember to ask how much a search will cost. If an email does not get you a response, send a letter with a donation or a notation on how much a search will cost. St. Theodosius is one of the friendlier churches when it comes to getting information on an individual. Requests for information can take a while, so be patient, especially with holydays fast approaching. Thanks for the tidbit about mailing with a donation; I have reached out to them in the past but didn't receive an answer but I believe it was via e-mail. I will definitely try this again and do the mail and donation. It's nice to know they are a 'friendlier' church regarding getting information. I'd like to get my husband's christening certificate as well; he was christened there in the early 1950's and we have a picture but no documentation. By the way, I do have a paper copy of the 50th Golden Anniversary book done by St. Theodosius in 1946. I'll be glad to try to find references in here for anyone that is interested. Unfortunately there is no index and the pages are very yellowed. One of these days I'll scan it and you can direct me where to best donate the scanned copies; it's about 75 pages or so. One of my husband's uncles was the choir director there at one time. I appreciate everyone's suggestions and help; you have all be great.
