this is the only list that seems a bit quite at this time. My others have been quite active. I've been on a couple of mailing lists for several years.? Historically there are "slow" periods for a variety of reasons.? They generally pick up again after a month or two, especially in January. ? Interesting I am still getting plenty of SPAM but I find this list typically less active than some of the PA lists I am on. And as far as slow I find that the Croatian lists I am on are very active in Nov and Dec as I belieive nostalgia sets in and people will ask questions about recipes and customs. I am currently researching the KINNEY family who were originally from Conneaut, Ohio (William Kinney and Sarah Mitchell). They moved to Scranton Road here in Cleveland. I am very interested in tracking one of their sons, Charles D. Kinney. Charles was born in 1872 in Conneaut, lived in Chicago in 1900, married his brother's maid, Mayme Simpson - who happens to be my gg-aunt, here in Cleveland in 1901, moved back to Chicago where their son was born in 1902, then moved to Michigan, then again, maybe, to Illinois. I am very interested in finding out what happened to him. I do not currently have an ancestry membership, as I use the library version at my local branch, which unfortunately does not provide access to the "ONE WORLD TREE". But, I noticed that he has an entry in the "Tree." Someone has done research on him, including his date and place of death. Could anyone with access to this Tree look him up and provide some information to me -- along with listed contact information on who posted his information -- that may be included for his entry and hopefully for his wife, Mayme, whom I believe to have died between 1902 and 1910, as he remarried a woman named Stella [last name unknown.] Any response would be extremely appreciated. Thanks, Jean Z.
Did you search http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com? There are several hits for husband/wife combos the same as you gave, but I don't know if they are yours, may be wrong ages. Did not paste the results URL here as it's too long. But this one seems to be yours, and there is a contact link: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=marcama&id=I09274 And this one: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=cyncam&id=I01133 On 10/28/08, Jean Lesny <jmlesny@yahoo.com> wrote: > I am currently researching the KINNEY family who were originally from > Conneaut, Ohio (William Kinney and Sarah Mitchell).
