Sue, Do you know if your husband's ancestor, namely historian Hu MAXWELL, was related to (a descendant of) a Robert MAXWELL who was present in Randolph County, VA (WV) ca. 1800? Since Tucker Co., VA adjoined Randolph Co, VA(WV) I thought there was a good possibility that there was a biological connection between the two MAXWELL individuals. You may be aware that the Robert Maxwell of whom I write was a judge/clergy who married persons during the 1800+/- time period.
