    3. Thank you for this info. He served in Co. B 6th U.S. Cav, having been discharged about 1864, and later enlisted for 1 year in Co. B 38 Ohio Vol. Inf, with discharge in mid-July 1865. His CW Pension record says nothing about him having been captured, but since the Aldrich History says he was, that must have somehow been overlooked when he told about his service. I had noticed before that Co B was recruited from Henry County, and have wondered why he was there. Only this weekend we have new information that leads us to believe that his mother, Mary Quantrell (various spellings) Bestor (later Mrs. Bearby) had relatives in the northwest part of Ohio and the southern part of Michigan. We have been unable to find the Quantrell family on a passenger list. William Quantrell, Jr.'s bio in a county history says that they came with their mother from Norfolk, England, and the times mentioned seem to work out to about 1830 immigration. > Date: Sun, 31 Jan 2010 12:24:44 -0800 > From: myheritage@sbcglobal.net > To: ohcuyaho@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [OHCUYAHO] Cleveland Newspapers 1900-1904 > > Also if William is William H > found this > > The 38th Regiment O.V. I actually need parent information for her brothers, Nelson and William Bestor. Millie (Amelia, Emilia) and the two men are definitely siblings, named in William's CW Pension record. > > > > Lila > > > Date: Sun, 31 Jan 2010 05:02:55 -0800 > > From: myheritage@sbcglobal.net > > To: ohcuyaho@rootsweb.com > > Subject: Re: [OHCUYAHO] Cleveland Newspapers 1900-1904 > > > > She is not in the 1901 or 1902 Cleveland City Directory > > Susan > > > > --- On Sat, 1/30/10, Lila Garner <lilagarner@hotmail.com> wrote: > > > > From: Lila Garner <lilagarner@hotmail.com> > > Subject: Re: [OHCUYAHO] Cleveland Newspapers 1900-1904 > > To: ohcuyaho@rootsweb.com > > Date: Saturday, January 30, 2010, 11:19 PM > > > > > > What a treasure-trove you've found. Is there anything about Millie Reed? She was the widow of Charles Reed and I've also found her as Amelia and Emilia. She was living in 1900 but I cannot find her in 1910. > > > > > > > > Many thanks if you can help. > > > > > > > > Lila > > > > > Date: Sat, 30 Jan 2010 19:21:34 -0800 > > > From: myheritage@sbcglobal.net > > > To: ohcuyaho@rootsweb.com > > > Subject: Re: [OHCUYAHO] Cleveland Newspapers 1900-1904 > > > > > > DIED > > > > > > > > > Murphy, Thomas Murphy, 45 years old, at his home, No. 2 Ellwell st., Sunday, April 8.
