As seen reprinted in the Norwalk Reflector on Jan 2, 2010 A3 Blast from the Past Jan 2, 1937 Norwalk Reflector-Herald Death takes Mrs. Edward Fries, aged 58 Mrs. Edward Fries, a well known and much beloved resident of Norwalk, passed away very suddenly this morning at 8 o'clock at her home, 236 Whittlesey Ave. Mrs. Fries, who was 58 years old, had been up and around the house attending to her regular duties and had gone out into the yard where she was stricken with heart trouble and passed away. She was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church and had always taken an intensive interest and active part in all things concerning the church. She was a member of the Altar Society. Her many friends will be greatly shocked and grieved to hear of her sudden death. She is survived by her husband, Edward; two daughters, Mrs. Algred Mahl of Norwalk and Sister Mary Lillian of St. Augustan, Cleveland; two sons, Paul of Cleveland and Frank of Norwalk; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Gickinger of Peru and Miss Theresa Grimmer of Norwalk; two brothers, Frank and Alfred Grimmer of Norwalk; and one grandchild.
