    3. As seen reprinted in the Norwalk Reflector on Jan 19, 2010 A4 Blast from the Past Jan 19, 1927 Norwalk Reflector-Herald Fred A. Hoyt is dead after long illness Fred a. Hoyt, one of Norwalk's most prominent and most highly respected citizens, passed away at 2 a.m. today at his home, 23 State Street, after a long illness. He had been confined in bed for weeks. Mr. Hoyt was born in Norwalk, the son of the late Eli and Susan Wheaton Hoyt, 63 years ago. Surviving are the widow; the children, Mrs. Henry Cook of Norwalk, Mrs. Carlton Furlong and Fred Hoyt Jr., both of Cleveland, and Mrs. Wilbur Terry of Pittsburgh. For about five years Mr. Hoyt conducted a meat market at 38 State Street and had been in the meat business here for about 40 years. A pale of sorrow has been cast over the city by the passing of this excellent citizen.
