HELLO EVERYONE, I AM TRYING TO FIND A DEATH NOTICE OR AN OBIT FOR A RUTH KELLER. I HAVE NO EXACT DATE AND CAN ONLY NARROW IT DOWN TO 1920-1942. I HAVE HER HUSBANDS CHARLES KELLER BUT THAT WAS OF NO USE, AND NO ONE IN THE FAMILY KNOWS WHEN SHE DIED. THEY LIVED ON CLEARAIRE RD. IN CLEVELAND. I HAVE WRITTEN THE ARCHIEVES BUT THEY HAD NOTHING THERE. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANK YOU, CHRIS _________________________________________________________________ Dont just search. Find. Marriage before around 1895 ONLY have have the bride/groom names, the date and minister. It is not until after 1895 (give or take a year or two) when full information is given. However, there are a few years between 1900 - present where marriage cert. is like this too, but generally they have the full information. > ATTACHMENT part 3 message/rfc822 Date: Mon, 19 Jul 2004 12:39:03 -0700 (PDT) From: Catherine Galvin To: OHCUYAHO-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: marriage application Hello Again, Wow, thank you all for your interest. Yes, I had to call the funeral home to find out the names of the parents, then followed up by checking the records at the diocease. ----- Original Message ----- From: <PATB1947@aol.com> To: <OHCUYAHO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, July 19, 2004 3:38 PM Subject: Re: [OHCUYAHO] Re: marriage application > Just took a peek at some of the "application/records" I have received and I > think that prior to 1900 parental information was not recorded on them. > Parental information is not recorded on "banns" either. > > > ==== OHCUYAHO Mailing List ==== > Register your surnames and queries at (http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohcuyaho/cuyaoh.htm) > > ============================== > Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration > Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial. There are three people buried at Calvary Cemetery in my great-grandmother's grave, along with three other people who are related. These three may be related but I have no idea who they are and have not been able to find any family connection as of yet. James Cipra died 1908 Joseph Cipra died 1899 Josephine Cipra Hronek died 26 March 1915, wife of F.J. Hronek They appear to be brothers and a sister. Thanks! Ceal

Al right is your couple born in a time when we can find them at home in the census? I admit to thinking my own thoughts in the first parts of this discussion [ie: when did my ggps die *G*] but now that the 1850 is all name indexed [with the usual holes and misses] that is a 40 year span we can catch people "at home" Eliz
Does anyone have an address for the location of church records for someone who lived at 17th and Lorain in the early 1900's? They were Catholic. christiefox@prodigy.net wrote: > Yes, I had to call the funeral home to find out the names of the parents, > then followed up by checking the records at the diocease. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <PATB1947@aol.com> > To: <OHCUYAHO-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Monday, July 19, 2004 3:38 PM > Subject: Re: [OHCUYAHO] Re: marriage application > > > Just took a peek at some of the "application/records" I have received and > I > > think that prior to 1900 parental information was not recorded on them. > > Parental information is not recorded on "banns" either. > > > > > > ==== OHCUYAHO Mailing List ==== > > Register your surnames and queries at > (http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohcuyaho/cuyaoh.htm) > > > > ============================== > > Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration > > Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial. I may be wrong, but I remember getting marriage records from the archives, and when the parents names were not listed, I thought that the records from the court would have the information I needed. I was advised that was not the case. The archives and the court have the same record. Unfortunately, not all the records have the parents names. Someone on the list had previously mentioned this too. Judy
Just took a peek at some of the "application/records" I have received and I think that prior to 1900 parental information was not recorded on them. Parental information is not recorded on "banns" either.
Dear Catherine: Follow these steps: Enter this into your search engine, and then press enter: Cuyahoga County Probate Court Ohio Then, click on the links that take you to the marriage index. Enter the bride's name and/or the groom's name and/or the bride's first name the and groom's last name. Press enter (or click on search, or whatever it is called there). This will lead you to the right persons' names. Click on the name, and you will get a record of where the original marriage license is: Volume No. _____, Page No. _______, and Pg. Match No. __________. Submit all of the information in the paragraph above, along with a check for $.10 (yes, ten cents), made out to the Cuy. Cnty. Prob. Ct. - Marg. Lic. Dept. Including a self-addressed, stamped envelope, mail your request to: Cuyahoga County Probate Court Marriage License Department - Room 146 1 Lakeside Avenue Cleveland, OH 44113 You should get an "uncertified" copy of the original marriage license, which does tell the parents' names usually, within 2-4 weeks. If you need a certified copy for legal purposes, I think the cost is $2. Lorene in Ohio
