    2. I found Highland Cem. between Harvard & Lansing Sts., in/near Newburgh Hts. I am not familiar with this area and need to know if it's a safe area for a woman to go alone too, to obtain a pic of a stone. [Day time ofcourse] Also, coming from Medina, and not wanting to travel I - 77, if I am reading the map correctly, is Rte. 21 is an ok way to get there? Thank you.

    3. Harvard Grove cemetery is near Lansing Avenue. Highland Park Cemetery is at 21400 Chagrin Boulevard of I-271. You can not obtain any information from the cemetery unless it is in writing which takes 4-6 weeks to process and then pray it is the correct information. For information on either cemetery and others in the Cleveland area go to: www.rootsweb.com/~ohclecem You can also obtain maps from this web site before you go to the cemetery. Going to both cemeteries is safe but as always, be cautious no matter where you are. 2. Hi, If you happen upon Ignatz and Verina Gisi (Might be Fredericka), immigrated with their children Julius, Carl, Louisa, and Anna, from Switzerland in 1880 (according to family lore), any records would be greatly appreciated. Also, any records at all on John and Margaret Wormskamp (dropped the Van). Also, any records on John J. Branske and wife Catherine Wormskamp, their parents and early families, and a record of death or obit for John J. Branske, city fireman in the 1940s, remarried at that time to Margaret McEntee after Catherine's death. Would like to know also who 3 Perry orphaned children, Paul J., Susan, Marie, migrated with from Canada to early Cleveland. I have been seeking the family that would have taken them in in the 1850s until the adult Paul J. surfaces in 1865 as a civil war era soldier and married Emma Reed. If you happen upon any of these people, I would appreciate this info. Thanks.

The Ohio Death index showed him as dying in Cuyahoga county, but they cannot find the record when I contacted them. Edward H. Nettnay Death Date is March 19, 1915 in Cuyahoga OH. Vol.#1589 and Certificate #13472. His wife was shown as Anna S. Nettnay. Death Date was December 16, 1918 in Franklin Co, Ohio. Vol#2821 and Certificate #88957. They also had a daughter named Lydia C. Nettnay that married a Paul D. Hitchcock in Cuyahoga Co. in 1902. Another daughter named Etta V. Nettnay married a John Meeshon in Cuyahoga Co, Cleveland OH also. And Marielle M. Nettnay married a Charles Austin in Cuyahoga Co. I know it's a lot, I am having trouble finding any records on this part of the family and any relatives also. Any help would be appreciated. 2. Hi Karen: I am still looking for the death of my great-great grandfather John BALLANTYNE. As of 1890, he was still alive in Cleveland, owned a saloon, wife Mary. He is not listed in the Ohio Death Index, nor is he in the Necrology Index. He was born 1846-48 in Lanark, Scotland. In the 1880 OH census, he was listed as living on Broadway in Cleveland. If this is too much of an ordeal to try and find him or you are inundated with requests, I understand. You are a generous person to make this offer. Thank you, Shari

    3. Shari, There is a record for the marriage of CAMPEAN, Mary, J to Ballantyne, John in Cuyahoga County Probate Court Historical Marriage Index Vol. 24 Page 428 Page Match 03. Vol 24 covers the years 1881-1883 http://probate.cuyahogacounty.us/ml/ Also the Cleveland Public Library Necrology files has this: Id#: 0804924 Name: Ballantyne, John Date: Dec 5 1966 Source: Cleveland Press; Cleveland Necrology File, Reel #091. Notes: Ballantyne. John Ballantyne, formerly of Scotland, passed away Friday, Dec. 2. 1966 Services private. Arrangements by Crobaugh Funeral Home. But judging from the death date and your Johns' "suspected" birthdate this does not seem like a match. Arrangements by Paul S. Spindle Co Walter C. Ramel Funeral Home, 10913 Superior Ave. My guess is that Ramel and Spindle joined together to provide some additional services to the deceased family, maybe providing obit publications in newspapers outside of the Cleveland area.
