    2. I recently went to archives to look up 1849-50 date and they have very very few birth records. There may have been 4 for the whole year! Some virus will send a message to all the unread messages in the infected person's mailbox folders; another will use addresses found in the infected person's address book. They send messages using a forged address (for instance, using RootsWeb or the infected person in the return address). The subject line may be from a message that was recently received, making it even more credible. While it may appear to come from RootsWeb, that is only an illusion of the virus -- our address and the subject line is a forgery. > > What can you do? 1. "Colonial Press" of Walter C. ORR 1950's
    2. Thanks to the kind listers who sent me to the Cleveland Library Necrology files, I have a new query. I'm researching Charles H. Orr, who was a librarian at Case Library and a sometime book publisher. I now know that his son, Walter C. Orr, owned a business called the "Colonial Press" in Cleveland, as late as 1953, and that he was involved in Public Relations. Does anyone know the nature of the "Colonial Press"? Was it a newspaper, or a book publishing house, perhaps? Thanks. Fred Kelso

    1. Birthdates before 1849
    2. Leslie Rieger
    3. Hi! Does anyone know how to find out about births before 1849? So far I have a tentative hit on a marriage certificate (In the Cuyahoga County Probate index is a certificate for John Gardner and Mary Rogers - my ggg-grandmother's name was Mercy, but after trying to decipher census handwriting, I could easily see how it could have been transcribed that way - the date matches) which is my only clue to where in Ohio my ancestors lived. Four of their children were born in Ohio - all before 1849. Can anyone suggest how I might find information on them?
