    2. Sarah
    3. Hello, Are there any Wolfs out there? I'm trying to help my cousin with his side of the tree. Louis Wolf – his great grandfather – came to San Antonio, Texas as a single man and married Florencia Hernandez in 1878. Texas census data says he was Prussian. His son's social security application data from the 40’s says he was from Ohio – Cleveland maybe. Mark's father recalls his father saying we have kinfolk in Ohio who were wealthy, maybe owning a brewery back then. That’s all he knows! Any ideas? Thanks, Sarah in Texas

    3. Looking for any/all information on Fred (b. 1822 Ger.) and Elizabeth (b. 1824) MYER (Myers/Meyers) from Germany to Cleveland @1872 and their children: Charles (b. 1864 Ger), Dora (b. 1859 Ger.) and Christina (b. May 1855/1856 Ger.) There were other children, I believe at least 2 other males. Christina Meyers married William/Wilhelm REPPENHAGEN (b. 1844 Mecklenburg, Ger, immigrated 1872) in Cleveland in 1878. Children of Christina and William REPPENHAGEN (all born in Cleveland OH): William C. Reppenhagen Jr. (b. Sept. 1879), John C. REPPENHAGEN (b. May 1881, d. Nov. 1956married to Grace unknown). Mary D. REPPENHAGEN (b. Sept 1882,died 1935, married to Stephen McNALLY, ), Mamie REPPENHAGEN (b. Nov. 1888, married 1. Robert Hugh Miller @1910, and husband 2 (before 1920): Irving Ferguson), George REPPENHAGEN ( b. Sept. 1890), Lillian REPPENHAGEN (b. Nov. 1892, married unknown BARTHOLOMEW, had dau. Edna), and Edward H. REPPENHAGEN (b. March 1898, d. June 1990). The Reppenhagens moved to Madison, Lake County, Ohio at some time between 1900 and 1910. Mamie REPPENHAGEN and Robert Hugh Miller had children: Myrtle Marie MILLER and Kenneth G. MILLER. Robert HUGH MILLER was in the merchant marine. Mamie had 2 (?) more daughters by Irving FERGUSON. Mamie and Irving FERGUSON lived in Geneva, Ashtabula Co., Ohio. Irving was a mail carrier. I have a death date of "Aug. 8" but no year for MAMIE FERGUSON (though suspect it was either 1941, 1947 or 1952). I have no cemetery/burial information for anyone. Any connections, information greatly appreciated.

    2. Virginia, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Rosina STIEGER was born around 1850 in Germany. On April 15, 1866, at the age of 16, she married Georg Frederich BULLINGER. A check of the census records indicate that they did not have any children. That is all that I know about Rosina STIEGER. Ernie Kuemmerer Denver. What time period are we talking about for the great aunt? I am 62 and my Mother and Dad had friends when I was young, a Leonard and Rose Steiger. Leonard could possibly have been related to her.I used to live in Parma, Ohio and they lived in Brooklyn. I remember his wife's maiden name was Koch. Her mother lived with them and died when I was young. They lived on Portman Avenue next to the Broadview cemetery. I hope this is a piece for your puzzle.Oh, I remember, they attended the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Brooklyn. Virgina

(I assume Justice of the Peace). Does anyone know if Justices of the Peace were required to keep any other details or records of marriages, and if so, where they might be? Thanks, Bill vonR
