How does one go about finding a will - as I am in Canada I have no idea re USA rules. I am looking for the will of Charles R Hanson who died Feb 26, 1970 at Cleveland. If possible to obtain I will gladly pay for the service. sincerely GAIL in Ontario -- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Hi, I have several marriage applications that appeared on the same sheet as the ones I've needed. These may be helpful to someone else, as I have clipped 'my marriage' from the sheets. Feel free to contact me and I can give you the information that I have. Names are from 1920 & 1922 applications... Thomas/Farrell Kerrigan/Finlin Wilford/Sherry Please enter "marriage applications" in the subject box as I delete spam & unknowns. Diane
Hello List Members, I would like to request a look-up in the following publication, Cleveland Newspaper Index to Marriages and Deaths (1818-1876). This is NOT an online database but rather a resource published by The Greater Cleveland Genealogical Society. I am hoping that someone has this publication handy and can offer me a lookup. I am searching for any references from 1859 forward for the following surnames: KRUEGER URBAN WEISS Thank you for any help you can offer. Bette
Hi List I would appreciate a check of the cemeteries in the county for Robert S Detchon, Sr & also his son, Robert S Detchon, Jr. The father died July 25, 1959 & I do have the obit but it gives no cemetery location. The funeral home of "Fairhill home of the Millard Son and Raper Co, Fairhill at East Blvd" is out of business, therefore, where are the records? Thanks Much Sandi
Hi Bob- On the Intellicast homepage on the left side of the page click on the black bar that says "US Weather", the next screen that appears has gray tabs near the top, running left to right, click on "Historic" and scroll down to "Today in Weather History" - if there was anything extradoridinary on the date it will appear. The tab next to that "Storm Center" also has a pulldown menu item "Historic Data". At the moment I don't recall precisely how- but I know that in the past I have searched this site for weather in specific places on specific dates. Will let you know. I went to the intellicast site but could not find historical weather. I am a novice at using the Internet so may have not searched properly. What I want to do is look up a particular day in history and find out what the weather was on that day. For example: 12/13/1907 when my grandfather arrived at Ellis Island. I would like to know what the weather was on that day. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Bob Tvorik Lansing, Michigan

Thank you for confirming that for me. That's what I suspected and the only thing that made any sense. Sandy
I have a page from the 1876 Atlas for Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and the street we now know as Pearl Road, once known as West 25 Street, was known as Columbus Street. There is an intersection of Wade Avenue and Columbus in this map. The Cuyahoga County Archives has loose pages of this Atlas that they will copy for you. Pat Schmidt
W. 25TH was know as Pearl St. It was amongst the changes when Cleveland adopted the numbered street layout and many named streets became numbered streets. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~officer/Clev1906N_Q.html Wade Ave is next to I-90 http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&address=W+25th+St++AND+Wade&city=CLEVELAND&state=OH&zipcode= However W25th St is still W25th St ! W25th does not become Pearl Rd until it goes under I-71 Robert Jerin Croatian Heritage Museum Eastlake Ohio http://www.croatianmuseum.com/index.php Patcleve@aol.com wrote: I have a page from the 1876 Atlas for Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and the street we now know as Pearl Road, once known as West 25 Street, was known as Columbus Street. Thanks Lorraine, I realize that street exists. I just wondered if, because it met up with Pearl, that Pearl may have shared that name early on? I saw a reference to "Wade House" tavern which was on the southwest corner of Wade Ave where crossed Columbus St. Modern maps don't show Wade being close enough to Columbus for this to be accurate. Sandy
Sandy, there is a Columbus street *now* that is very close to the location you mentioned... There are listings for Columbus Street at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohcuyah2/maps/streets/cstreets.html if that will help you any... Can anyone tell me if Pearl Rd. (West 25th) was ever called Columbus Street around where Wade Avenue is? (That's about 4 blocks north of Clark Ave.) Thanks, Sandy
I print the manifests all the time, they come out just like the census printouts. I am all but legally blind and I can read 95% of what they say. Of course, some handwriting is better than others and some better preserved. As long as anyone does not ask for more than 5 at a time (per week) I will be happy to do them for free. I have never emailed them, but I believe there is no reason why that would not work. If not, I would be happy to snail mail them. PLEASE SEND REQUEST TO ME DIRECTLY...I WILL NOT HONOR ANY SENT TO THE LIST...it just clogs up the list for others wanting to post. Thanks, Sharon in So. California
