    3. My gut feeling is Monroe Street Cemetery http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ohclecem/monroestreetcemetery.html as you need a date of death - you could look for Name: Niggle, Lena Date: June 21, 1881 Source: Source unknown; Cleveland Necrology File, Reel #060. Notes: Niggle- Sunday, June 19th, 1881, Lena Niggle, aged 14 years 9 months. Funeral from the residence of her parents, 22 Bayne st., Tuesday, June 21st, at 2 p. m. Friends of the family invited. I think Caroline daughter of Edward and Elizabeth. If Caroline/Lena is at Monroe - perhaps Edward's parents are there. 1. Re: [OHCUYAHO] footnote costs.
    2. carolyn vigneulle
    3. Hi, If you use footnote.com as an index, it is free. To obtain actual records you need to pay. Family History centers, and Akron-Summit main branch has the site with the cost only for their copy rate which is under 25 cents a copy. The County Archives is free for patrons requesting less then 10 copies. If you e-mail your requests to the Archives they will send them to you. The National Archives also has footnote available at copy rate. If you visit these sites you could use it and then e-mail yourself the copy. I am glad Cuyahoga County commissioners allowed our records to be preserved for all to enjoy. As we celebrate 200 years of our county, they encourage us to visit the Archives and do our family history. -----Original Message----- From: ohcuyaho-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:ohcuyaho-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of ohcuyaho-request@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, June 16, 2008 3:01 AM To: ohcuyaho@rootsweb.com Subject: OHCUYAHO Digest, Vol 3, Issue 131 Today's Topics: 1. 1. [OHCUYAHO] New Footnote records
    2. C&C
    3. Hi Everyone I was looking through footnote.com last night and discovered they now have Cuyahoga County OHIO Birth Returns 1871 - 1908 on their premium subscription side. I couldn't find how far along the project is, but amazingly I was able to find 4 records for my ancestors. Happy Hunting. 3. Yeah, that is basic to Jewish Genealogy. I have people in my tree whose name used on the census is different every single time! It gets aggravating, to say the least. But I'm sure this is them. It's the only Kasle in the database, and definitely the right first names, it's just the date and parental names that seem whacked out. Uh, just......like it doesn't matter. :( But for non-Jews as well, the same ideas about given name variation still need to be considered. There are nicknames and foreign accents to confound us and the census takers. And spelling variations of surnames. About.com has a good page about spelling and what is the right way to spell a name. Back 100 years ago when there weren't computers, people sometimes embellished their names by adding extra letters to them! tc eliz wrote: > You may know this already and it may not be totally accurate.
