I have just learned that my husband's ancestor Maryarter Sanders (b. abt 1799, d. 1856 Clermont Co., OH) obtained a "license to preach the Godspell" while a member of the Hickory Cove Baptist Church in Hawkins Co., TN. This was shortly before leaving Hawkins Co. (abt. 1840) and moving to Miami Twp., Clermont Co., OH. In his will he asked that he be buried in the Concord Church "burying ground." I think it possible that he was the minister of that church. Is there a repository in Ohio for Baptist Church records? Mary Lu Sanders marylus@earthlink.net
