Jack Dole shows an excellent way to answer a roll call call. Jack put surnames in the Email's title, and also wrote an interesting, informative Email full of data that connects Atlantic Co,NJ and mid-Clermont Co,Ohio families. If everyone followed Jack's [and my] examples, there would fewer complaints re roll calls. [I think roll calls an important tool, and I've got 25-30 years in genealogy to compare with critics of them]. Let's be honest. Few things are as boring as somebody else's genealogy raw data. For that reason, you'll most often find me adding some stories that will interest "some " portion of the party-line list. No way you can intertain everybody. Try to get as many of who, when ,where, why, what in you queries as possible. Do not as a whole rootsweb.com list for aid, without,at least mentioning the question\surname you want answered. And,get modern. When sending data thru US MAILS, please include you US MAIL address, AND ,and most don't, your Email address.
