Fellow researchers: Please be advised that I have just posted a major update to my web page. Point your browser to: http://members.home.net/johntippet/ and click on Beckelhymer. Included with this update are the following items (all added to the Beckelhymer section of my web page): (1) I have completed the transcribing of the 1816 to 1826 Duplicate Tax Records for Clermont County, OH for Behymer and associated surnames. These include: Archer, Beckelhymer, Custer, Fitzpatrick, France, Gray, Huff, Kinsey, Littleton, Logan, Lower, McCord (Elias only), Mattox (Elijah only), Parvin, Picklesimer (there were none), Robb, Shultz, Tripp, Vail, and Waggoner. Note that for the years 1816 to 1825, the only taxes that were collected were for land. Starting in 1826, taxes were also collected for personal property. Thus, I have also posted the personal property tax list for the year 1826 for the above surnames. (2) I have also posted the 1821 to 1830 Duplicate Tax Records for Montgomery County, OH for Behymer and associated surnames. These include: Beckelhymer, Kinsey, Lower (there were none), Picklesimer (there were none), Rinker (there were none) and Stoner. As for Clermont County, the personal property tax list is also included for 1826 (when they started collecting taxes for horses and cows) through 1830. Note: I have not yet looked at the years 1816 to 1820, the first years the Duplicate Tax Records were kept. (3) I have completed the transcribing of the 1786 to 1821 Personal Property Tax Lists of Franklin County, VA for Behymer and associated surnames. These include: Archer, Beckelhymer, Beckett, Dillman, Fishburn, Harger, Kinsey, Landis, Lazena, Lemon, Logan, Phares, Picklesimer, Prator, Rinker, Trout, Waggoner, Wimmer and Young (Ridley only). This update adds the years 1804 to 1821 and also picks up a few additional entries for the earlier years that were not previously posted to my web page, primarily for the surname Harger, but also a few entries for Rinker, Fishburn, Lazena, Phares and Wimmer. (4) I have posted the Henry County, VA Tax Lists for 1778 to 1780 for the single Picklesimer entry. (5) I have posted the Franklin County marriage bonds for Behymer and associated surnames. These include: Beckelhymer, Beckett, Fishburn, France, Lazena, Lemon, Picklesimer and Waggoner. (6) I have added two new obituaries to the scanned images section of my web page. These are for William Behymer (son of Solomon) and William's wife, Martha Littleton. These obituaries were gratiously provided by Tom Robison. Thank you Tom! (7) I have added 6 new Behymer biographies to the scanned images section of my web page. These again are all courtesy of Tom Robison and are all for children of the William and Martha (Littleton) Behymer indicated above.
