I can read many things into the following, including earlier locations for Chenoweth's, and I just posted another militia co for Chapline from cdiller@juno.com If any of you need to follow the following locations, all too often th e county's bounds change. Fredrick Co,Md becomes Washington Co,in 1776. Clermont Co,Oh becomes Brown Co,in 1818. Ross Co Oh becomes Pike Co. If you've been across Union hill into Pike Co on RT 32 ,from Adams Co,you've seen Chenoweth Road. John Lindsey,JP,WHO MARRIED MARK ARMACOST,and the Downings, lived near Arnheim,on the old Clermont-Adams Co, Oh line that became Brown Co. "John Chenoweth,Sr,m a Calvert,on the Del-Pa line, and lived at Bristol,Pa pre Joppa,Md,and at Gerrardstown,Va-WV LINE ,and his family is mixed with the SUTTON'S, AND Hollingsworth's,and my Brown's etc. On Sat, 3 Feb 2001 09:17:02 EST JDole5633@aol.com writes: > > --earch, please visit http://pml.rootsweb.com/ > ===================================================================== > Source: DOWNING-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [DOWNING] > > > Timothy Downing of Maryland > > 1734 or 44 Born in Maryland > > 1767, 5 Mar- served in Joseph Chaplines Co, Ref Md Colonia1 muster, > folio 194. > > This could be another Timothy or a Downey.(There is a Joseph > Chapline in > > Frederick Co,MD living near the James/Robert DOWNEY family) > > c176?, married Sarah Chenoweth, probably in Allegheny Co, MD.
