    3. Hi Debbie, I too, have a grandmother who died at Longview Hospital. I know I would have loved her dearly had she not died way before I was born. Longview Hosp. is in Hamilton Co. Cincinnati and the name has been changed to: Pauline Warfield Lewis Center 1101 Summit Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45237 At least, this was the address when I wrote to them in 1992. I was trying to get copies of my grandmother's records. Their answer, "I'm sorry I cannot give you that information, but the state of Ohio has a retention law that allows records to be destroyed on inactive patients who have not been in the hospital for ten years". My grandmother died in 1929 and I guess her records have been destroyed. If anyone knows that these records were rescued by someone and are in a repository somewhere, please let us know. My grandmother, Bertha Brittania (Brittie) Cornwell Straub, was born in Bethel, (Clermont Co) OH, but lived in Cincinnati all her married life. She is buried in Tate Twp. Cemetery in Bethel. This is the address I wrote to in 1992 to get a copy of my grandmother's death cert. Vital Records 1525 Elm St. 4th. Floor West Cincinnati, OH 45210 Since your grandmother did not die the same year mine did, I am not sure this is the right place for you to write. There is a $7.00 charge per request and if they are unable to locate your records, there is a $3.00 non-refundable file search fee for each record requested. They will not accept personal checks. Send a certified check or money order and a SASE, business size. Good Luck! Janine in TN
