Thanks to all (Roberta,Sylvia, Kevin, and others) for the response re: MEEKERS & DEMARIS. My primary search is OWEN & MURRY, but we are stopped at a couple of points and hope the MEEKER or DEMARIS connections might help us along. MATILDA (??) MURRY's daughter MARY JANE MURRY married WILLIAM DEMARIS 1867 (Clermont, Co). Her mother MATILDA (widow??) married LOTT MEEKER in 1869. These I have found in the records. We have, by family legend, that a sister of MARY JANE's also married a JIM MEEKER. My uncle, still living in Cincinnati, remembers "Uncle Jim", but cannot make a connection. So if any one has a MEEKER/MURRY(AY) it would be great to hear fom you. We think JIM MEEKER had a daughter RACHEL who married a ROBERT NORMAN, but am really not too sure of this. I am really trying to find MARY JANE's father.??? A WILLIAM H. MURRY( unknown relation to Matilda or Mary Jane) witnessed the Matilda Murry/Lott Meeker marriage, so the two families were probably close. MARY JANE MURRY DEMARIS married ISAIAH OWEN on the death of William Demaris in 1873. Their son WILLIAM DEMARIS, jr and my Grandfather CHARLES OWEN (Mary Jane & Isaiah's son) were raised together as brothers and my father and uncle remember "Uncle Bill Demaris" well. He married a Jewel (??), but we have no records of that family, or any of the MEEKERs. Any and all connections are appreciated. I do have complete descendants ISAIAH OWEN/MARY JANE MURRY to present if that is of interest to anyone. Thanks again John Owen
