One of Aileen Whitt's recent books,following her book on the Cranston Memorial Presbyterian church at New Richmond, is her 'Monroe Presbyterian Church,Nicholsville, Clermont Co,Ohio 1831-1950".That church's cemetary is on Rt 222 A MILE NORTH OF Nicholsville. It split in the 1860's,and I grew up with the [email protected]'s Emmitt's in the split,Bantam Presbyterian .At age 10,we moved to Bethel Methodist,which is not the Old Bethel Methodist of my Bantam ancestors. North of Nicholsville was a 1000 acre survey lost by land suit about 1820 by the pioneers who settled it 1808-12. Most of them moved on -to Rush Co,Indiana rather than buy their farms a 2nd time,and a colony from sw Scotland took their place.
