    1. Re: [OHCLER] Private or Family burial grounds
    2. I read the list Yolanda posted. Some are on the very edges of Batavia township. Amelia I.O.O.F is just across Ohio Rt 125 from that part of Amelia village that was in Pierce,or pre 1853,Ohio township.Amelia Methodist 2 blocks.Mt Holly Church of Christ- Republican near Pierce and Monroe. And the East Fork Baptist was on the NE Union-nw Batavia township line. Suppose it might be 'Rustic Valley. Old Bethel Methodist is 5 tended acres 1\2 mile outside the old s e Batavia township line. I know of 3 other locations .Foot of the island in Lake Harsha had a couple tombstones . Under the saddle dam,in the yard of a Moore mobile home were 1-2 tombstones.Pinkham farm had a grave or two. Moore Cemtary of 1 acre has few stones left.most were moved to the more modern Batavia cemetary.Remaining tombstones are scattered to the edes of the acre, hinting it was once nearly full. [Old Rt 222 n edge of Batavia]. Yolanda's list named few,or zero,in the n e 1\4 of Batavia township. Some was settled in 1806. Aillen Whitt copied the black peoples cemetaries [2-3]in New Richmond the DAR skipped. Possible same thing happened in Batavia [?] Lucy Run cemetary was by-passed when a curve was removed from Ohio Rt 132. Alexander Thompson's was on the State Highway garage area of Ohio Rt 132. Very northern Batavia township, near Ohio Rt 222 and US RT 50,WAS settled by 1800.
