George Brown was of [?] John Brown,d 1810 Hampstead,nw Baltimore. The hamlet of Armacost,Md is just east of Hampstead,Md a couple miles on a good map. Capt-Lt-Rev-JP George Brown had many uncles icluding Richard Wells,Sr, of James and 1776 Capt Richard Brown,then of the Bedford,Pa Rifles defeated on Long Island. Capt Richard Brown moved from Beford [Somerset] to Brown's Island,in the Ohio River,between Weirton,WV and Stubenville,Ohio.Capt Richard Brown married the sister of Richard Wells, Honor Wells Holmes.
