    1. Re: [OHCLER]Armacost/Stairs/Wilson/Holmes
    2. Fagley has an educated guess on Wm Holmes. He witnessed either my Rev-Capt- Lt-JP George Brown's 1814 will at Big Indian Creek and Ohio RT 743, or son David Brown's 1819 will north of Laurel. George Brown was of [?] John Brown,d 1810 Hampstead,nw Baltimore. The hamlet of Armacost,Md is just east of Hampstead,Md a couple miles on a good map. Capt-Lt-Rev-JP George Brown had many uncles icluding Richard Wells,Sr, of James and 1776 Capt Richard Brown, then of the Bedford,Pa Rifles defeated on Long Island. Capt Richard Brown moved from Beford [Somerset] to Brown's Island,in the Ohio River, between Weirton,WV and Stubenville,Ohio.Capt Richard Brown married the sister of Richard Wells, Honor Wells Holmes. She was daughter of James Wells,of old Baltimore Co,Md,and she was the widowed mother of 8 [eight!] HOLMES children by her 1st husband, and then 3-4 more Brown children by her 2nd husband. 1955-1956 Bethel-Tate High basketball team,.champions of the Clermont Co tournement, included Clermont Co 1st team All-Star,Dick Armacost at piont guard, and [email protected] at center.Dick's aunt Mattie Bargwr was married to Ezra WILSON.
