I am searching for the origins of William MELVIN, and his family; I believe he was originally from Maryland. He seems to have settled in Clermont County about 1820. I believe he had a son named James, and a son named Stephen. A John MELVIN, born about 1776, lived in nearby Bracken County, Kentucky. His children were probably a James MELVIN, John MELVIN, and a Nancy MELVIN-HICKS. I believe this family was from Worcester County, Maryland. Does anyone know whether the William and John MELVIN families were related? Thanks! Annette Kapple
