Matthew and Margaret {SHELDON} HAYWARD/HAYWOOD came from New Brunswick, Canada to Belmont Co., OH, in the early 1820s. By 1834 they had moved to Edenton, Clermont Co., OH, apparently to be with Margaret’s SHELDON family, who had come from Nova Scotia to nearby Clinton Co., OH. >From the records we have been able to put together, it appears that Matthew and Margaret had at least five daughters and two sons, all but the first born in Ohio. We think that most of those listed below were included in this family, but have little proof on any of them.
