I've never understood why my wife's Wm and Lucretia Johnson Smith were buried on their on farm a bit north on Rt 133,or her Charles Johnson buried on [tradition] Blue Sky Park and the East Fork,instead of Hutchison's. [Greenberry] Samuel Ashton,Sr lost his 1st wife-a sister to Lucretia Johnson Smith,from Tom's River,NJ shore.I don't know when or where. The Smith's moved from NJ IN 1809. Samuel Ashton moved near future Marathon in 1811.Samuel likely lost her before Samuel Cranmer's Methodist cemetary was formed on RT 50 east of Marathon,though at least 1 Ashton was buried there. Did Rev Edmund Burdsal's chapel always bury at Bloom Rose U.B. in Brown Co?
