Bob had cancer, and he had Parkinson's. Maybe rootsweb.com isn't the proper place to announce his death, but so many of us grew up with Bob Braun on the Ruth Lyons TV show, and then on his own show, that nobody in Greater Cincinnati was better know. And,when Bob's show's was replaced by Sarah Jessie's talk show, Bob spent another several years in the business at L.A.,till the Northridge earthquake. Bob's son has been anchor man on our Cincinnati TV news years, and Bob was drive time am radio on WSAI til cancer made it impossible. 1st time I ever saw Bob Braun was in swin trunks,at the big swimming pool at Coney Island, with microphone in hand, interviewing kids [pretty girls] for his om radio show. So handsome, and well built. So,I'm guessing his age at late 60's. That's Bob 'with microphone in hand!" Nobody could give commercials more naturally, and without teleprompter's. Day after day: year after year, Bob filled Cincinnati's TV noon hours. With Ruth Lyons, and then alone. I'm glad I don't have memories of him wasted by cancer, and shaking with Parkinson's. . There was always something not quite 100% natural about Bob,on TV. Then he told us all just what it was. He had what's called a "Lazy upper lip" that did not move ,so his upper teeth were never seen. Good bye.Bob. Thanks for a million memories!
