Service in the VA contintental; was placed on the pension roll on Jun 7, 1819; Commencement of pension was June 5, 1818. He was age 87. (This puts him at the same age as the Hezekiah LIndsey who married Eliza Fisher. But, I had him as Either a Pvt 9th Reg under Col Gibbs of Va line for 3 years OR enlisted Westmoreland co under CC Co. Col Gibbs = Col Gibson, VA Reg under Capt Uriah Springers Co (2nd part from Cler Co 1880 History) His Pension was $8.00 a month. The Clermont County History Book says that Hezekiah Lindsey, Clermont Co Ohio. Williamsburg Ohio, Roster 1, p 227. Died Feb 16, 1826. Buried probably by eldest son without a marker in Pierce Township, Clermont Co., Ohio. Served as Rev Soldier in PA. Came to Ohio prior to 1800. Served as Rev Soldier in PA. Came from PA. Then came to Ky with Issac Ferguson. Children: Manley, John and Phillip who settled in Brown Co Ohio, Hezekiah born Jan 5, 1781 Westmoreland Pa.- Died May 22, 1965 Pierce Tnsp, Clermont Co. Ohio and married Eliz Laycock; William; Elijah; a dau who married Joshua Brown of Ohio Township in Cler Co; a dau who married John Fisher of Monroe Tnsp in Clermont Co. Ohio; Lydia who married John gilman of Pierce Tnsp in Clermont Co. Ohio.; a dau who married Elyah Mattox of Pierce Tnsp in Cler Co Ohio; a dau who married Jesse Swem of Pierce Tnsp in Cler Co Ohio. Hezekiah Lindsey is a Sergeant in Capt Haines Company of Mounted Volunteers, which served in the State of Ohio, in the year 1813, on a tour of duty for the relief of Fort Meigs and Fort Stephenson, serving from July 27th until Aug 13,a period of sixteen days.
