    3. Myt grandmother Ruie Ely Brown wrote a little family history in the 1920's . [d 1838] .Much of her life was spent on the farm north of the John Jr> Samuel Simpsons. She pasted in the following obit-I will abstract only, and she hand wrote a note that ' grandma Justice was with his mother, [Mrs Samuel Simpson] when he was born. The following married a Fagley, and was my Dad's uncle. No date, but 1925-30 era,and location one of Cincinnati's best neighborhoods. Robert Belville Simpson, died at his daus,Mrs Louise Hahn. Walnut Hills Presbyterian: Spring Grove Cemetary [Cincy's largest] . He was 94 years old,and died of pneumonia. His parents came from Germantown,Pa to Bethel,Oh . [Germantown is nw Phila suburb, but his grandfather was further nw a few miles at Gwynedd,or North Wales, ow Montgomery cO,but then Philadelphia Co. in 1818 Capt,184th Infantry,and G.A.R. Simpson was appointed in the 1st year of US GRANT'S presidency a US REVENUE AGENT,and held same position til 1919. [4 years around 1900,Capt Will Fagley joined him as revenue agent. Whiskey tax collecter. Revenuer. Besides his daughter,he leaves a sister,Mrs Walter Burroughs,90,of New Richmond: a son,John Simpson,of L.A.,A DAU,Mrs C.W.HAHN,NEW YORK CITY, AND A GRANDSON,WM S SIMPSON,broker,Cincy.     3. Hello Hermon and fellow listers....... Thanks for sharing all the interesting history of Clermont County -- especially for those of us that have not been there to date. My husband's THOMPSON ancestry came west from Maine to Clermont County, Ohio. His 4th g/grandfather was ALEXANDER THOMPSON. Can you tell me if any trace of the original church founded in 1827 by Alexander Thompson, which was called "Republican Meeting House" is still visible? Surely the building isn't still there, is it? Has a new church building been built on the same site -- perhaps Mt. Holly? I'd be grateful for what you can tell me. Thanks!
