I'm new to the list and am looking for someone who may have information on the family of my 3rd-great-grandmother, Nancy Ann Wood. Nancy Ann was born October 25, 1808 in either Virginia or Ohio depending on what census record you look at. She was first married to John Moore, son of Anthony and Jane Moore according to family Bible records. John was born May 3, 1805. I believe my Nancy Ann Wood is the Ann Moore who married John Moore in Clermont Co., Ohio on Sept. 22, 1825 according to LDS records. John and Nancy Ann Moore had 6 children: 1. Anthony Moore, born April 15, 1827, Ohio 2. Erastus Moore, born May 5, 1829, Ohio 3. William Moore, born Jan. 18, 1831 in Clermont County, Ohio 4. Sarah Jane Moore, born March 10, 1833 in Clermont County, Ohio 5. Hannah Moore, born April 16, 1835, Ohio 6. James Moore, born August 18, 1836, Ohio I believe that all of the children were born in Clermont County, Ohio, but only have proof for William and Sarah Jane. By 1839 Nancy's husband John has died and she marries (this time as Ann Moore) my 3rd great-grandfather, Thomas Baldwin in Clermont Co., Ohio on Dec. 10, 1839. By 1840 this family has moved to Montgomery Co., Indiana. I believe I have found these families living in Stonelick Twp. of Clermont Co., Ohio in the 1820 census. Page 61 of this census shows the family of Thomas Baldwin, who in 1820 was living with his first wife, Susan Stull, a Henry Stull, possible brother-in-law to Thomas Baldwin, and several Moore and Wood families; Anthony Moore, (father of John?) Levi Moore, and John Moore, and Moses Wood, Nicholas Wood, William Wood, and John Wood. Both Moses Wood and William Wood are old enough and have a female marked in the appropriate age bracket to be the father of Nancy Ann. Other families associated with the Baldwin/Moore/Wood family and found on this page are John Metcalf, William Glancy, and William Cowan. Would love to hear from anyone with information on any of these people.
