Jenny- I found one Thomas that was born in Wales on the 1880 Batavia Township, Clermont County, Ohio. This is David Thomas, age 49, which would put his birth date about 1831. David Thomas occupation is listed as Dry Goods Merchant. He is married to Bertha, age 31, born Hanover, Germany. They have children: Frederick W., age 6, Sarah E. age 5, and Jane S., age 4. All children were born in Ohio. This family also appears on the 1900 and 1910 Batavia censuses. On the 1900 census, they have more children: Walter D., age 19, Bertha, age 12, Dorothy, age 4.
