Am searching for information on Dr. Watt (Wait) Knowles and descendants. He arrived in Clermont County prior to 1823. His wife was Esther Case (b. abt 1780 in CT; family moved to VT abt 1788). They had at least three children: Luther, Mariah, and Alonzo - lawyer. Luther and Mariah married the same day - 31 Dec 1822. Am trying to verify that Esther is the sister of Luther Case and they are the children of Benejah Case and Lydia Woodruff. I have a transcript of a letter written (1823) by Luther to another sister, Lucy. In the letter he mentions the Knowles and their children.
