    1. New to list--BOOTHBY FAMILY
    2. Josh & Paula Pangier
    3. Hi there, I am new to the list and I am researching the name BOOTHBY. From what I have gathered there were two BOOTHBY'S in the 1810 Tax list...Josiah and James. My dilema begins here. My g.g.g.g.grandmother was born about 1810/11 in OH, her name was Rachel BOOTHBY. Josiah and James are the only BOOTHBY'S in the State of OH that could be her father. The tricky part is determining which man is her father. I am hoping that there are still some BOOTHBY researcher's on the list who can help me out. If not, hopefully some of you could give me a direction to look. I found posts from several years ago about early marriage records for Clermont and there is listings for both James and Josiah. Both were married in 1802 in Yankeetown and were Baptist if I read it right. Assuming they were Baptist, can anyone tell me the name of the Baptist Church in that area. And, what are the chances of recieving a copy of a baptismal record for that era? I have no experience working with Baptist Church records. I have looked at the 1820 Federal Census for each man and both men have 2 daughters age 10 and under and James has 2 daughters ages 10-16 where Josiah does not. In the 1830 Federal Census, James BOOTHBY is listed in Miami Twp., in Hamilton County, which is the same place that Rachel BOOTHBY Strong is living. Is this her uncle or her dad? Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Paula
