Two variations exist in Campbell Co. Stevens and Stephens, I have seen the original of the document referred to in the Campbell Co. court house and it does say Stevens. So far as I know both of these families migrated from Virginia. The Stephens ones from Fairfax Co. near Washington. Information about the Stephens family can be found in "Kentucky: A History of the State", Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin 7th ed 1887. ----- Original Message ----- From: <FagleyTeam@aol.com> To: <OHCLERMO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, November 13, 2005 8:27 AM Subject: [OHCLER] 7-1-1796,Tim Raredon,Wm Montgomery,+James Fitzpatrick > The new Campbell Co,Ky officials ordered those three mnen,in 1x796,to lay > out a road from the Widow Stevens east to the Mason Co,Ky line.
