Eunice Rounds father was James Rounds b 1758 Buxton, York, Me. d. 1843 in Brown Co Ohio. son of Joseph Rounds and Sarah Gerry. My family history has both Clermont Co Oh and Fulton Co Il. families: Gould, Rounds, Dawson, and Smith. Carole Spencer has indicated that Sarah Elizabeth Smith b. 1835 in Coshocton Co Ohio m. James Gould in Fulton Co Il. One of seven children: Sarah Elizabeth child #6. She shows her parents as James A. Smith 1783, and Elizabeth Dawson b. 1797 d 1847 in Fulton Co. Il. She shows James Smith and Elizabeth were in Coshocton Co by 1820 and in Fulton Co, IL. by 1839. My question is that we are searching for father of Elizabeth Dawson. m James Smith. Could it be possible for her to be daughter of James son of John Dawson and Eunice Rounds?? There are other families involved from Clermont Co: Rumery, Booth, Pennell, Durrell, Peters, Mitchell. and Rounds family are married to several of these families involving both Clermont and Fulton Co and with Maine origins. Carol Spencer also descends from the Smith/Dawson. ancestory. she has a William Dawson she thinks could be the father and a Hannah George the mother but also thinks William might be the brother of Elizabeth Dawson Smith. William Dawson is on the 1850 census in Coshocton Co Ohio. With all the other connections that exist between the John Dawson/Eunice Rounds families it seems to me that there could also be a link between them and the Elizabeth Dawson who married James Smith.
